POSTER INFORMATION

Poster Schedule

In-person posters must be on display by 8:00 AM on Wednesday, March 12 (Location: Harborside). The room will be open at 7:00 AM.

8:00 a.m.–9:00 a.m.               Authors of in-person, odd-numbered posters must be present for discussion

9:00 a.m.–10:00 a.m.             Authors of in-person, even-numbered posters must be present for discussion

10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m.           All authors of posters, including virtual-only, available for discussion online.

To foster meaningful interactions, all posters will be available online during the Virtual Poster Session, which connects attendees to presenters via Zoom or virtual chat. We encourage in-person attendees to visit the virtual-only posters to promote accessibility and engagement for all meeting attendees.  

You may join the Virtual Poster Session using your phone or laptop from the Harborside poster room, your own hotel room, or another quiet space. Please note that there is no public Wi-Fi in the Harborside poster room unless you are staying in the meeting hotel. There are other public spaces in the meeting hotel where public Wi-Fi is available. You may also find Program Chair Amanda Veile in the Harborside room during the Virtual Poster Session and request Hotspot information.


INFORMATION FOR PRESENTERS

In-person posters cannot exceed 42*42 inches. 

All presenters—whether in-person or virtual—are asked to upload their posters and be available online during the Virtual Poster Session.

Recommended Sections

  • Title: Clearly state the title of your presentation.
  • Authors and Affiliations: Include the names of all contributors and their institutional affiliations.
  • Introduction: Provide background information, the research question, and the study's objectives.
  • Methods: Summarize the methods used in the study concisely.
  • Results: Present key findings with supporting visuals (charts, graphs, or images).
  • Discussion/Conclusion: Interpret the results and emphasize their significance.
  • Acknowledgments: Recognize funding sources, collaborators,other contributions.
  • References: Cite key sources in a brief format.

Font and Text Specifications

  • Title: At least 80 pt (visible from 6–10 feet away).
  • Authors: At least 56 pt.
  • Sub-headings: At least 36 pt.
  • Body Text: At least 24 pt.
  • Captions: At least 18 pt.
  • Font Recommendations: Use clean and professional sans-serif fonts, such as: Arial, Calibri, Helvetica, Verdana

Visuals-Recommended

  • Include high-resolution images, charts, and graphs (minimum 300 dpi).
  • Ensure visuals are clearly labeled and support your key points.
  • Use contrasting colors to enhance readability (e.g., dark text on a light background).
  • Include a figure legend for every chart or image.

  • Practice summarizing your poster content in a 2–3 minute verbal explanation for viewers.
