Spielvogel Award

About the Hilde Spielvogel Award for Outstanding Presentation by an Undergraduate Student

The Spielvogel Award (established in 2014) recognizes the outstanding presentation (paper or poster) by an undergrad student at the Annual Meeting. Papers/posters are evaluated on the basis of the quality of the research, analysis and presentation by the HBA Publications Committee. 

Winners will be publicly announced and recognized upon completion of the meeting.

Undergraduate students are eligible for this award if they meet the following criteria:

1. The student is the first author AND presenter of the paper/poster.

2. The paper/poster is based on novel analysis and interpretation of primary data (collected by the student and/or a co-author/co-authors) and/or secondary data (published or unpublished data collected by someone other than the author[s]). 

3. The candidate for the award is the primary contributor to: a) project conception, b) data collection (if primary data), and/or c) data analysis.
